The Global Humanitarian Forum's Youth Forum

 

Global humanitarian challenges concern young people as much as they concern the older generation. Nowadays, those challenges can no longer be solved separately from each other, be it across nations, across religions or across generations.

It is crucial that the younger generation has access to a platform where they can express their views on humanitarian issues, present their ideas to overcome those challenges and exchange their thoughts with peers and key stakeholders of the older generation.

As young people, we need to come together to tackle humanitarian challenges!
We need innovative and action-oriented strategies to overcome those challenges!
We need to discuss with world decision makers and act together, now!

One little anecdote
Last Monday, the delegate of Saudi Arabia made a remark about the poster on the wall behind the plenary officer's desk. The point he raised was more or less the following: The poster (shown on the left) mentions COP15 (the conference of the parties), but does not mention CMP5 (Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties). Youth related side events at COP15 and young people’s credibility
Today the NFTF team covered two side events related to youth organizations’ action and their role in the climate change debates.
